Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking Utah Valley DJs for your next high-energy night.

We specialize in high school dances (prom, homecoming, stomps, formals), university dances, karaoke nights, and similar events across Utah Valley and the greater Wasatch Front. We bring professional sound, lighting, and high-energy performance tailored to each crowd.
Popular dates (especially Friday and Saturday nights during school dance season) fill quickly. We recommend booking as early as possible — ideally several weeks to a few months ahead.
Yes. We encourage clients to share must-play and do-not-play lists in advance. During the event we also take reasonable live requests when they fit the energy and flow of the night. Final music selection remains at the DJ’s professional discretion to keep the dance floor packed and the vibe strong.
A safe, accessible space for the DJ booth, a dedicated power source (standard 110–120V outlets), and reasonable access for load-in. Most school gyms, multipurpose rooms, and event halls already meet these needs. Let us know about any venue restrictions in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Standard high school and university dance packages are 2 hours. Karaoke can be adjusted for your event too. Extended hours and overtime are available subject to schedule, additional fees and insurance limitations. Exact times are confirmed when you book.
Yes. We travel with professional-grade gear and critical backups so a single failure does not end the night. While no system is immune to every possible issue, we take redundancy seriously so your event keeps moving.
A deposit is required to hold your date and is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed, except as required by law or as otherwise stated in your written agreement. Cancellations or date changes are handled according to the terms in your booking confirmation. Contact us as early as possible if plans change.
Utah Valley DJs operates as a professional mobile entertainment service. Music is performed under appropriate public performance considerations. We carry general liability coverage appropriate for the events we serve. Specific certificate-of-insurance requests can be discussed at booking.
Yes. Lighting is a core part of our high-energy packages. Additional effects, uplighting, or specialty gear may be available depending on the package and venue. Ask when you book so we can tailor the visual impact to your event.
